I am self-taught artist that is constantly influenced by my souroundings and interest in expanding my expression. Pace and people stimulate my spontaneous process and drive the theme of excess and chaos in my work. Recently I’ve grown from creating mixed-media canvas pieces to multidisciplinary efforts, with the intention to draw the viewer in deeper through motion, and ignite other senses such as sound. This piece, OR-E-GON(E), is an example of how artistic inspiration is sparked through a new perspective. Presented are appearances of landscapes that intertwine with the wild and abstract that will hopefully allow the viewer to briefly live in the vibrant world I see.
Since 2010, Michelle, has been involved in over 20 exhibitions throughout Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx. In 2015 she expanded her work to include Multidisciplinary collaborative pieces presented at The Brick Theatre, Triskelion Arts, and Brooklyn Studios for Dance. She is excited to continue and broaden her creative scope with the premiere ‘Adaptable Apple’ for Dancespace Project on April 29th an well as an artist residency in Oaxaca, Mexico this summer.
